President, Anita
Guerrero
Anita is a Business Management and Professional
Communications major and WEC student.
Prior to serving as President of AWC,
she served on the board as Membership
Chair and VP of Finance. As President,
she hopes to open up the world of AWC
campus-wide and offer students the ability
to gain hands-on experience and insight
in the various realms of the communications
industry. She also plans to provide members
with diverse experiences to achieve the
8 abilities of Alverno in real-world
settings.
As Administrative Assistant
at Fiserv, Inc. in Brookfield, Wi., Anita
supports the Corporate Tax and Investor
Relations departments. She assists in
tax compliance for over 100 business
units, while developing policies and
procedures to streamline departmental
flow. In addition, she supports the
VP of Investor Relations to develop effective
relationships with current and prospective
shareholders and outside analysts.
As a proud mother, Anita spends her “downtime” loving
and caring for her three-year-old daughter,
Alarie. Alarie is the light of Anita’s
life and serves as the primary motivation
for her to achieve above-and-beyond expectations
and goals she has set for herself. In
due time, she hopes to get back to
the heart of her hobbies as a reader
and a creative author.

Co-Vice President and Membership, Chanté Shultz
Chanté is a Professional Communications
Management major at Alverno College .
Her self-proclaimed areas of expertise
are writing and public speaking. An AWC
member since 2006, she is very excited
about her further involvement with the
organization as Co-Vice President and
head of Membership.
Professionally, Chanté has worked
in finances for ten years and is currently
Team Leader of Operations at UMB Investment
Services Group in Milwaukee, Wisconsin,
a position she has held for the last
five years. Her position allows her a
unique combination of mutual fund processing
as well as presenting to potential and
existing clients. She is also the department
trainer.
When free time allows, Chanté is
an avid reader and also enjoys sports.
She is a season ticket holder for the
Milwaukee Bucks and Milwaukee Brewers
as well as a member of a women's softball
team in Racine, where she lives with
her husband Craig. She has recently taken
up bicycle riding and you will often
find her on the local trails when the
erratic Wisconsin weather permits.

Co-Vice
President, Bevin
Christie
Bevin is a senior at Alverno majoring
in Communication, Management & Technology
with a focus on Organizational Communication.
Currently, she works for the Medical
College of Wisconsin as an Administrative
Assistant in the Pediatric Otolaryngology
Department. She's a single mother of
an 11 year-old son.
In her spare time
she enjoys taking her son to the movies,
going to the gym, taking walks by the
lake and photography. Once she receives
her degree she hopes to secure a position
fundraising and coordinating special
events for a non-profit organization.

Programs,
Susan Hansen
Susan is a senior in Communication,
Management and Technology (CMT) with
a specialization in Technical Writing.
She loves being creative and any
kind of writing; this is what drew her
to AWC. She also enjoys being in
the company of other communicators. She
says, "It's a fun group!" She is currently
a full-time student and is seeking
a career where she can bring her creativity
and writing skills to life.

Publicity and Web Site Manager, Brenda
Manry
Brenda is an Alverno Communication,
Management & Technology (CMT)
senior, with a specialization in visual
communications. She joined the AWC in
2006 as website manager and recently
accepted a seat on the board as Publicity
Chair. She has over 12 years of service
with
Motorola,
Inc in Northern Illinois and is
currently a senior communications specialist
in the Supply Chain organization, where
she manages the employee portal and serves
as the group's graphic designer and social
media guru.
She is also an IABC
Chicago member and small business
owner of a small desktop publishing
company called,
BrenDesign.
Her and her 7 year old son live in Kenosha,
Wisconsin, where she enjoys small home
improvements, bike riding, enjoying
live alternative rock bands, spending
time outdoors and getting to Great America
or traveling whenever time allows.

If so, you may be interested in being
the next Publicity Chair and/or Web
Site Manager for Alverno's AWC. Brenda
is seeking a mentee to start training
as her replacement starting in December.

Communications, Julie Gilboy
(formerly Simons)
Julie has been in the Communications
Chair since February 2007. She is a senior
at Alverno; graduating in December with
a degree in Communication,
Management and Technology. After graduation,
she hopes to find a position that will
allow her to use all of the skills she's
developed as an Alverno grad and AWC member.
Julie is currently working at Cooper
Power Systems in Pewaukee where
she is the Engineering Coordinator.
She assists and coordinates a staff
of 33 engineers. She is also a partner
in a desktop publishing business with
Brenda Manry called BrenDesign.
Julie resides in Franklin, WI with her
two dogs Kanga and Rou and two cats,
Cali and Bobbi. She is a proud parent
of two adult children. Her son who is
25, lives out in California and is a
financial advisor. Her daughter who is
23, is a police officer.
Julie enjoys anything that has to do
with the outdoors. She also likes to bring
out her creativity in interior design.
She is enthusiastic, energetic and loves
to laugh. Her zest for life is evident
by the goals she has completed and the
dreams that await her future.

Vice President of Finance
/ Treasurer,
Emily Aguilar
Emily Aguilar is a
third year Alverno College student. Her
major is Management Accouting. After
she receives her bachelors degree, she
will go on to get her masters in finance
and then on to become a certified public
accountant (CPA) and certified financial
analyst (CFA).
When she's not working as
a multi-family office investment analyst
or busy at school, she enjoys spending
time with her two and a half year old,
Christopher, watching baseball, football
and movies and reading.

Fundraising Co-Chair, Juliet
Starks
Juliet is a CMT major with a specialization
in Training and Development. She will
be graduating in December 2007, she says,
"that is if I can complete the Advanced
Web Design class successfully. Cross
your fingers." She has had a passion
for reading since Jr. High, she believes
reading helps develop an imagination
and encourages you to take risks. She
loves having children around her, their
laugh, curosity and innocence brings
her great joy. She says, "When we
love our children, either naturally born
or those you meet on the street you will
change their lives forever."
